Dear Friends and Family,

Much coming in the next few days. Good and bad news. Such is life. Hang in and hang on.

Please keep sending your thoughts and prayers to our dear friend Mary Sq. who will miss her daddy forever.

We love you all.

Dear Friends and Family,

We have several new pics under “recent”. It was once again unseasonably warm here over the weekend so we hit the bike pedals. It was great that we were able to do it as Tull was having some kind of serious leg problems on Friday. He had some adjustments done which seem to have helped quite a bit.

Our book proposal is finally absolutely complete and in the hands of our agent in New York. We hope to have good news on that subject soon.

We are running off in a few minutes to do a speech in Albuquerque. Hope all is well.

Love,
John and Lucinda

Dear Friends and Family,

We have had a rather miraculous few days. Who knows why or how, but John Tull has been walking now for four days without even picking up his cane. You cannot imagine how much taller, younger and stronger he looks when he walks by himself and looks straight ahead. (Well, you can take a look at our recent pictures of him walking and working out at the gym, but they do not do justice…oh and there are also pics from our celebration with the Dear Overton’s for Jimmy’s birthday over the weekend). I guess that we both have ideas and theories as to why this is happening, but truth be told it is due to many, many things.

John and Lucinda both seem to be waking up from a three year coma. We are so very happy to be alive. And we are so very happy to have heard from our dog friends today (Rufas and Pedro). If you are not familiar, take a look back at the messages from early 2003. What a hoot and a woof!

Love,
John and Lucinda

Dear Friends and Family,

Tull has been walking for more than a week now without his cane!! His gait improves daily and it is probably time for him to start working with a physical therapist that specializes in “gait management”. There are still various issues with the fit of his legs which require constant monitoring and adjustments, but we are very happy with his progress.

Dr. Ron Primas (the NYC travel doctor who correctly diagnosed us with plague and thus saved our lives) called the other day to check in and wish us a Happy New Year. He lectured Tull about smoking and threatened to come out here to rough him up.

John and Louise Wheir were in town over the weekend and came out to cook dinner for us. Wheir was a lifesaving pal when he came to Santa Fe on two occasions to stay with Tull when Lucinda needed to be out of town in the early days. It was wonderful to see them both.

We have a couple of new pictures posted (including a rather poor quality one of the Wheirs…sorry John and Louise).

Love,
John and Lucinda

Dear Friends and Family,

It has been well over two weeks since John Tull left his cane somewhere (we don’t even know where it is right now) and started walking. He looks better and better as he develops his confidence and balance. We do have to be on the look-out for “hot spots” on his legs and treat them so that they do not become serious. We are both ecstatic over his progress.

Lucinda’s grandmother has actually been improving at Friendship Village. Talk about an amazing will!! She is not walking at all, but does receive physical therapy and is sitting up for one meal a day. Lucinda is going to Ohio next week to spend Dorothy’s 97th birthday with her and to take care of a few matters.

The last of the Tull children has stepped out of teen-hood to adult-hood. Katy Jane Tull turned 21 on Saturday. Lucinda first met Katy not long after she and Tull had started dating. The two of them came to Lucinda’s to pick her up for the day. The little 8 year old blue-eyed red head was right on her father’s heels perfectly imitating him with both of them strolling along with their hands behind their backs and whistling a little tune. How could anyone resist?

Love to all,

John and Lucinda
