Dear All,

John Tull has been riding his recumbent like a maniac and it has improved his leg strength considerably. Needless to say, he wants yet more Christmas presents (since he has been such a good kid this year).

We have had recent visits from Ed (Giddy-Dog) and Marilyn Gideon and Mona Tull and Bob Ball. Great fun with all.

Lucinda’s grandmother is hanging in, but not having the greatest time of her life. We know that it is not fun to be stuck in bed when one is used to a very active life.

There is some rather exciting news in our lives, but we are going to wait for a while to share it. Stay tuned. And in the meantime, try not to get stressed out by the holiday season. Tis a time for friendship, peace and joy.

Love,

John and Lucinda

Dear Friends and Family,

Lucinda’s grandmother is not doing well at this point. It is hard to let go of someone who has been in one’s life for so very many years and been an important influence. She is the person who took Lucinda to the theatre and to the symphony. We shall see what happens, but it seems that Dorothy is ready to let go.

John Tull has been a crazed bike rider. He has been out on his own for the last two days and ridden at least 5 miles in somewhat frigid temperatures. This bike is the best thing that has happened to him post plague recovery.

Roland “Lupe” Padilla, our great home health aid, brought us a huge Christmas tree form his property up north last night and we got it into the house with help from Jimmy Overton and his son Chris. It is absolutely beautiful, but we will have to go buy more decorations for it.

Love,
John and Lucinda

Dear Friends and Family,

Yesterday was a very busy day for Deputy Cabinet Secretary Tull as it was the day of the big announcement about Virgin Galactic becoming a partner with the State of New Mexico in the spaceport we are building in Southern NM.

John was invited to a private reception with every business and political leader in the state, Sir Richard Branson and his girlfriend, Victoria Principal. It was very exciting.

Tull calls himself the World’s Finest Spaceport Attorney (because he is the World’s Only Spaceport Attorney.)

Then we had the big announcement. Google reported that there were 46 reports of the announcement on the Web.

Later in the afternoon JT attended his second Governor’s Cabinet Meeting, where he gave a report.

At the end of the day, the Secretary was so tired he could hardly walk. But with the help of loving, erstwhile Lucinda he had a drink and a spot of dinner before heading to the bunkhouse.

Our thoughts tonight are with Mary Sq. and her family as they drive from Connecticut to Ohio due to Mary’s dad’s ill health. May they have safe travels through the snowstorms. Also, Lucinda’s grandmother is still hospitalized.

Love,
Lucinda and John

Dear Friends and Family,

The Winter Solstice was such a very magical night three years ago when John Tull first really communicated to Lucinda with his eyes. Tonight it is unusually warm here in Santa Fe and we are doing our best to feel the magic of the season, but have sadness in our lives. We learned tonight of the death of one of Tull’s very good old Amarillo pals. Lucinda’s grandmother is under hospice care in Dayton as is Mary Sq’s father. We have other close friends who are dealing with illness and death in their extended families of true relatives and friends and we are thinking of all of them. We must strive to hold on to all that we have at this time of year and be joyous and be very mindful of those who have less.

In spite of our own particular challenges at the moment, Tull and Marker are ever grateful to have each other and our family, friends and very entertaining pets. We could not ask for much more. We have a very tall, modestly decorated Christmas tree around which we can sip hot buttered rum and watch a warm fire in our kiva fireplace. Not bad.

We still speak so very often of the support we have always received through this website. It has been a gift to us and to others. Please feel free to send any kind of holiday wish you may want. Know that our website still registers around 1000 hits a day. Whoever those 1000 people are may love to hear your holiday thoughts and we certainly would.

Much love, peace and happy solstice to all.

Lucinda and John

Dear All,

We hope the holidays have been good for you all thus far. Ours have been quite nice. We did a bit of the farolito walk on Christmas Eve….it was almost warm this year! Christmas evening we spent with a group of friends who have made quite a tradition over the years.

We just added a few new photos in the “recent” section of the photo gallery. John Tull has been riding his recumbent nearly everyday and he purchased some pretty cool shoes that allow him to lock on to the pedals. We also have a photo of the beautiful carving of Saint Roche that Tull had made for Lucinda for her 50th birthday. Saint Roche is the saint of plague. He had the courage to treat plague victims and got it himself. While he was living sick and in isolation, a dog brought him bread for nourishment. He survived and continued to treat others. Quite a beautiful story and quite a beautiful carving.

Love,

John and Lucinda

Dear Friends and Family,

We are having a very peaceful New Year’s Eve. It is almost unimaginable that we are entering the year of 2006. We send the very best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year to all of you.

Please keep in your prayers and thoughts Mary Sq. and her family following her father’s death yesterday. Lucinda has very fond memories of Bill Buehrle who was a generous and kind man who loved his family greatly. He and Mary had a very special relationship.

We also learned yesterday of the passing of our dear friend Ellie Gray’s brother. He was young and had battled cancer for the last number of years. Please remember him as well.

We were so happy to have a surprise visit last night from Roland (“Lupe”) Padilla, his girlfriend Jennifer and their beautiful daughter Tiera. Roland was the caretaker who literally saved our lives when John first got out of the hospital. That little cutie daughter of theirs captured our hearts from the time of her birth. Life does go on.

Love to all,

J&L
